On Tuesday Jeremy had a day long series of appointments at the Swedish transplant center. I took the day off work and went with him. There was a class about kidney transplantation, meetings with a doctor, a surgeon, a financial person, a social worker, and they took lots and lots of blood.

This wasn't even quite all of it. |
We stopped at Bartell's on the way there. Jeremy got an energy drink, and I got a package of two hard boiled eggs, which cost a total of $2.49. I also ate a yogurt before we left.
By the time he was done with his labs it was almost two and I was starving. We went to the McDonald's across the street. I had brought a coupon for buy one get one free premium salad or wrap. Jeremy got a grilled chicken wrap, and I got a southwest crispy chicken salad. He also got a snack wrap, and I got a small fries which we shared, and we got two small drinks. We spent a total of $11.14 there. Not bad as we are both pretty big eaters and were both very hungry.
Later that evening we went to QFC and bought:
3 lb bag of small honeycrisp apples $5.99
Brownie ice cream $2.99
1/2 gallon 2% milk $1.99
Sugar free sparkling water $1.00
Gummy bears $.99
Broccoli $1.55
Total $14.51
I made a chicken and vegetable stir fry with brown rice for dinner, and had brownie ice cream with sugar free chocolate syrup and walnuts for dessert.
